Hinchingbrooke Country Park

We love hinchingbrooke Park. It’s cheap to park, some lovely walks and views, lots of places for a picnic and a small play park

What to expect:

Parking

Located just the other side of the road to Hinchingbrooke hospital this country park is just 5 minutes drive from the A14. Just be careful to avoid school run times of the day as the road in is a bit of a bottle neck past the local school. Parking is ample most days, unless there is an event on then it’s worth getting there early, it costs £1 for up to two hours and just £2 for up to six hours, payment by cash or by phone if you don’t have any change with you.

The Cafe

There is an onsite cafe open Monday to Sunday, 9.30 - 4pm. The cafe serves breakfast until 11.30 am everyday and a variety of home-cooked food as well as ice creams of course!

Toilets

Public toilets are located at the back of the cafe building and which I have always found to be very clean and presentable.

Pushchair/Disabled Access

There is a network of hard surfaced paths around the park which are suitable for large wheeled buggies and wheelchairs too.

Events

The ‘Countryside Centre’ is regularly hosting young children oriented events, especially during the summer holidays. We have spend many a wonderful day at this park, is beautiful and an all-round easy place to be with the kids. You can checkout their website for more information on all of this and their on going events information (if not already included in our calendar).

Please do leave us and others a comment below with your feedback on days out you’ve had at this lovely park.
